Non-DICOM host systems installed in a DICOM environment can easily be upgraded to DICOM store / print class with the addition of a the DICOM Box® Acquisition Module. Optionally, the DICOM Box® Acquisition Modules support DICOM Worklist Retrieval to greatly reduce operator workload.

Since the DICOM box® Acquisition Modules (CA) can support video inputs from 7 to 150 MHz. as well as digital image input, multi-modality networks that serve the entire imaging department are possible. The CA allows back-up printers to be defined so that if a primary printer fails, the operator can quickly select the back-up printer. The DICOM Box® Interpreters can upgrade non-DICOM laser cameras to DICOM print class.
