While the DICOM box® Acquisition Modules convert non-DICOM host scanners to DICOM print class, the DICOM box® Interpreters convert DICOM printer class to older non-DICOM output. The DICOM box® Interpreters are capable of converting DICOM print protocol to the native format of the connected non-DICOM printer. The most common application for the interpreter is to interface older non-DICOM printers to the DICOM print network. The Interpreter utilizes 952, 831, SPCI, and KCL host control products.
