Canon Medical offers the most complete range of Digital Radiography (DR)
solutions in the medical community. With the release of their CXDI-50G
Portable Flat Plate Detector, Canon DR can now be purchased as a full room (new
or retrofit) or as a portable. Specialty installations for mobile vans,
veterinary, and other applications are also available.
Containing approximately 6 million pixels and utilizing amorphous silicone
technology, the 50-G offers superior image quality and advanced connectivity.
Compatibility with DICOM 3.0 allows the 50-G to work in a variety of PACS
environments with the ability to transmit image data over a network for remote
viewing, printing or archiving.
In terms of workflow and operational efficiency it is hard to argue that DR is
the preferred technology, and may contribute to significant reduction in
operational expenses while being able to easily accommodate increased patient
loads.
